I was seeking for some interesting online broadcasts when I found the guy Nick Vujicic's (a man without any limbs) lecture stuff. Fascinated with his Australia accent, i just kept on watching and watching. To tell the truth, before this, i always decline to watch interviews of handicapped, for I don't like the way they are formed to be a sad and disadvantage group to earn the world's compassion. I thought it's not respectable. This young man, however, is quite different. I was shocked of his extreme optimistic of life and his great sense of humors. These on him are so real, and you can feel that the moment he started to talk. He wouldn't let you feel sorry for him, but attracted you by his extraordinary air and wit. Then i did a deeper search on his stories, because the first broadcast i watched was short and been cut in the middle of his speech. Guess what i found? He is actually a great motivational speaker of gospel and love to go out and share his story and testimony with people. I found his official website and the full lecture and some other great stuff online. It SO amazing~ I can't wait to share these things to all of you.
First, a brief introduction of him:
Nick was born on 4th of December 1982 Melbourne, Australia, the firstborn of his family, now a resident of suburban Brisbane, Queensland. Nick was born without arms or legs.. There is still no medical reason why this had happened. After his born, his parents and the whole church were very grief, which is understandable, since both his parents are lifelong and dedicated Christian. Although people thought he wouldn't survive for too long, he was healthy baby without any mental problem. When he reached to his school age, he was forbad to integrated the main-stream school because of some laws in Australia. But God did miracles and gave his mother the strength to fight for the law to be changed. Nick Vujicic was one of the first disabled students to be joined into a main-stream school. We can imagine how suffered he was the first years in school and his teenage age, we can imagine how painful he was children teased and refuse to play with him, and how he felt great sorrow inside and looked himself as a big burden of his family. But he got his wake up call when he was 12, and started to understand that God must have special unrevealed purpose to take him to the world. "Later on Nick was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then He has something better."(Nick Vujicic, Life Without Limbs) And now he is 25 years old and had graduated from Commerce major in Financial Planning and Accounting for 4 years. He has been traveling over 19 countries and "has personally experienced with more than two million people all over the globe". Armed with his faith and amazing experience of life, he has been reaching a lot of people and encouraging them in different ways. His favorite quote is "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand." Second, the broadcast:(No arms, no legs, no worries!)
